Loretta helped start Corvettes of San Diego, serving as the first ever treasurer for the club. She worked with two other club "quilters" to create a beautiful Corvette quilt to be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the San Diego Make-A-Wish Foundation.  According to John, Loretta lent her quilting talents and passion to other charities.    Loretta was very proud of having the highest bowling score at the clubs bowling event, while John had the lowest.  When the club would adopt a family at Christmas time Loretta was there every time to help.  Loretta continued to attend and support the club activities as her health declined.  She was always looking forward to the next event.  She will also be remembered for many things, like being task oriented and strong for herself and John throughout her illness, and was determined to live life to the end.  Loretta's corvette family was constantly amazed with her stamina and courage and she is missed.
